Community Drop-In sessions

TLSWa holds regular monthly drop-in sessions for TLSWa community members to discuss practice issues. These drop-ins are held by practicing members and guest experts.
In September we have special guest Richard Rose sharing conundrums and al things TLSW.

If you have completed the Diploma course in TLSW you are able to become a community member. As a community member, you can attend drop-ins and special events.​

TLSW Training

There are a range of training options available to further your TLSW skills. ​​


Professional Diploma: Therapeutic Life Story Work - mixed delivery

The comprehensive 12 day course designed to equip participants with the skills, knowledge and experience to undertake Therapeutic Life Story Work with children and young people during the course of their work.

  • Block 1 delivered online: 18-20 July 2025

  • Block 2 delivered online: 10-12 October 2025

  • Block 3 delivered online: 20-22 February 2026

  • Block 4 delivered face-to-face:  Melbourne: 22--24 May 2026

In order to practice TLSW you need to have completed the TLSW Professional Diploma course.

Professional Certificate: Therapeutic Life Story Work - online.

Richard Rose (UK) | Elise Saunders (AU)

The Professional Certificate (formally known as the Advanced Certificate) comprises six teaching days and focuses solely on the delivery of Therapeutic Life Story Work providing an opportunity to put this intervention into practice within your current role.
Each session runs from 9am - 4pm (AEST)

  • 8-9 August 2025

  • 29-30 August 2025

The Staying Safe Programme - Online

Rob Tucker

Psycho-educational work with children affected by sexual abuse in family environments. Aimed at those children and young people who are no longer in the families where abuse took place or where the offender is living elsewhere. It is designed to build upon traditional ‘Protective Behaviours Work’ by ensuring that the work is applied to the family’s specific abuse circumstances, helping children get answers to questions they might have.

Each session runs from 8am - 11am (AEST) each day.
